Niko and I pretended we had landed on Mars. Lew was a scary alien. We left US 50 and spent most of the day on Highway 24 which took us through breathtaking mountains layered with sediment stripes and worn down by millions of years of erosion.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/happyinwater\/734963580\" class=\"tt-flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/farm2.static.flickr.com\/1210\/734963580_fb02a1779a.jpg\" class=\"tt-flickr\" alt=\"Mars?
