Pumpkins, bruiser, dancing
October 7th, 2007 by Scott
I believe there is some law requiring parents to take photos of their kid in a pumpkin patch each year. Here are some pictures so we don’t get in trouble.
Niko continues to be a spitting image of jack-jack. I couldn’t make his hair do that if I tried.
Niko helped me make chicken soup today. His job was to take things out of the cabinets and bang them. My job was to not spill scalding chicken parts on him. We were a good team.
I also caught some video of the kid doing some bashing, some dancing, and a bit of peek-a-boo. Apologies for the poor camera work. I didn’t miss my calling.

Hmmm, those dance moves look strangely familiar. I think it is pretty obvious who he got those from…
Love the dancing and am so glad that you snapped a few pics with the pumpkins. Any idea what Niko is going to be for Halloween this year? Last years Green Pea costume from the Thompson’s will be hard to beat.
Thanks for the opportunity to see a small person in action. The dance moves are good, but I’m also seeing excellent rhythm there, and (maybe it’s just wishful thinking) some pre-singing noises as well. I also like that one knee one foot locomotion. Mary bounced everywhere on both knees for six months before she decided to walk.
@Jan
One of his favorite words (as you know) is “ducka ducka ducka ducka.” So he is going to be a duck for Halloween.
I thought that you were going to say that he was going to dress up as a crazy Grandma for Halloween with the “ducka ducka” lead in. I guess Pat already has that one locked up.
I can’t believe that his hair just did that on its own!! That is amazing. Can he morph into anything he wants at will? Can’t wait to see what he pulls off for the Thanksgiving and X-mas photos.
I can’t wait to see the video of when Jan teaches him her famous dance move called “drop base”
