Hosts

Grandma Pat and Grandpa Jere were at the house for all of March and had the house fully stocked when we arrived (doesn’t get better than that). Most mornings have been spent on the beach with Grandma Pat collecting shells. More specifically Grandma would collect them and Niko would throw them into the water. I’d like to think he was trying to save the shells by sending them back to the ocean and this was some environmentalist gene passed down from Mary. More likely though it is just a boy’s propensity to throw stuff (something I still, and always will, have). Niko also slept in my parents’ room for the entire vacation, which, as a gift, probably covers the next ten years of Christmas.  Thank you Grandma Pat and Grandpa Jere for an amazing vacation!

I mean how cool would it be if you could actually get in the laundry basket full of towels right out of the dryer?

Baby Elsie

Niko calls Elsie, “Baby Elsie,” and Elsie now calls Andrew, “Baby Andrew.” Seems even among infants, there is hierarchy.

The gulf was particularly calm this spring which made for great swimming.
