Blue for two

Now that Niko is two, Mandy (who is responsible for my end-to-end life brand) felt it was time for a new blog header that says “I’m two” instead of “I’m a baby.” And as usual, she nailed it. Theme colors adjusted accordingly. Thanks Mand.

Buff mother

Mary came to visit during our final days in CA. I tried to get Niko to say “birth mother” but the best he could do was “buff mother.” That seemed good too.

Leather couch

As we either gave away or packed up all our belongs, the leather couch quickly became the only place to sit. (Just to be clear, by “we” I mean “Julie.”)

Costa Rica

We headed out to Costa Rica with Mark, Mand, and Elsie in early September. As usual, Mandy did a much better job blogging about it.
Travel is definitely getting easier (we have definitely moved forward in the travel mobility-video gap). Niko will watch Finding Nemo pretty much indefinitely so at this point our sanity is defined [...]

Too cold

Niko now equates discomfort with “cold.” So if the straps of the car seat are too tight he says “too cold.” If you really think about it, this is pretty spot on. Cold is pretty painful. Even better, it gives me a chance to show my unending wit, “Just wait until December in CT kid. [...]

We took Niko to the Google summer picnic last week. He was remarkably unimpressed. I thought the two story inflatable slides would change his mind but he took no interest.
