“Actually” is now part of many most sentences.

“Actually, I already ate two bites of chicken. Can I have dessert now?”

“Because” now explains everything.

“Because because because I was playing with the trucks and then I dropped one.”

Niko has reached the age (three) where he is mixing things he hears us say a lot in with his standard vocabulary. I’m not sure he always understands what he is saying, but it certainly is a riot to hear him say it.

Examples:

You have got to be kidding me!?
For crying out loud!!
You’re always causing trouble dad
I’m a little bit shy

He also still struggles with his “th” words which is adorable:

Does anybody want to play wis me?
I sink I’m getting a little bit tired
What is dis?

On language: M&Ms

Niko calls M&Ms, “Nem-i-nems.” As in, “I would wike shome nem-i-nems, pwees, shank you.“

Couple of Niko-isms at 2:

Wherwa, used in place of “Where,” words following must be said without any space, as in, “Oh! Mom! Wherwaisduhwadiebug? Wherwaisduhcar“
He seems to have gotten a couple words mixed up in the, “Oh, Dad, what that could be?” I always follow this question by correcting him, which only gets me a look of exasperation. Then he repeats it his way, as if to say, “silly Dad, mixing up the words.” I think he might win this one.
All sentences must start with “Oh!” as in “Oh! Look at dat! An airplane!” It is a very exciting world out there.
