Neighborhood-ween

Hi, remember me? I use to blog here.

This year, Niko declared he was going to be a prince for Halloween. Given we wait on him hand and foot this seemed really fitting and I was impressed with his self awareness. The neighborhood Halloween party gave him a chance to practice ruling the land. I encouraged him to go with a “wizened beloved leader” persona but he seems to lean more towards “dictator who really wants his apple juice NOW.”  The party had a candy hunt which I think might be encroaching on the easter bunny’s territory, but anytime you want to spread candy on the ground, I’m all for it.

Holy cow… who made those costumes, Martha Stewart?? The prince is amazing.

Doesn’t anyone over there in C-land cheat and go to the nasty Halloween superstore?

We clearly still believe in you because here we were checking the blog bright and early this morning in hopes of seeing a few pics of your handsome prince. So glad you are back!!!

An overall good day for the Johnston Family
(at least 2 out of 3):
    1. Niko got to dress up and run around and eat candy
    2. Julie got a win out of the Yankees
    3. Scott – oh right, Michigan lost, AGAIN

    Miss you guys!

Come to think of it, Niko does resemble my ideal of a handsome prince. Glad you’re back. Your virtual friends have been missing you.

I never thought of a prince. Niko had a great idea. He looks perfect and seems to have a lot of company. Seems like a great neighborhood.
    God bless.

He is the only little boy that I know that picked prince – man, he must be good with the ladies already! He couldn’t look more adorable. Your neighborhood looks wonderful – love all the little ones in costume.
